We are pleased to announce Toby Bryfogle ‘Dog of the Month’ for the month of July 2011. At just over one year old, Toby is an energetic, social, and happy German Shepherd puppy!
Toby has been enrolled in 4 Paws Academy’s ‘We Train You Maintain’ program for a few months. We and his owners have seen drastic improvements for the better in many aspects of Toby’s day to day life.
When Toby came to us, he would get himself extremely worked up at the sight of another dog, people, or anything he perceived as a threat. He would rarely visit with other dogs and was hesitant and stressed by human contact. His owners even considered using a muzzle whenever out in public as a last resort and never thought they’d be able to trust him.
Since his beginning at 4 Paws, his days of being troublesome are over! Toby and his owners have developed a healthy working relationship with solid pack structure. These two things have laid a solid foundation for the continuation of his training and the start of a healthy lifelong friendship – and he will never need a muzzle to be trusted!
Toby has come a long way since he began not long ago here at 4 Paws. Once a scared, stressed, and nervous Shepherd, he has turned completely around and now Toby is happy and excited about interacting with other dogs and people!
